Creative workshops at Atelier Hier & Daar

Children naturally feel a strong urge to explore and create. At Atelier Hier & Daar, they are given the freedom to truly follow that curiosity. There are no fixed steps or ready-made examples. There is space to experiment, to explore surprising materials, and to try out their own ideas. In this way, they don t just develop creativity. They also build resilience and a stronger sense of self-worth qualities that are essential for life.

Structure of the workshops

We start together. After that, children choose from different workstations. This might be a building table, a table with loose parts, or a space where classic art materials are offered. Nothing has to become a specific thing but it can, of course :) Often, ideas and stories emerge naturally while making. Our drawing materials are not standard felt-tip pens or colored pencils. We use fineliners, charcoal, white gel pens, and often work with repurposed building materials and recycled finds. These materials spark curiosity. Children feel taken seriously because they work with real materials rather than typical craft supplies.

What your child experiences

• Freedom to discover and create independently
• Joy in experimenting with unfamiliar materials
• Pride and confidence in their own ideas
• A warm, safe environment where their uniqueness is seen

Will you join us in stacking, kneading, sticking, building, dipping, making holes, sprinkling, poking, wrapping, drawing, smearing, and scrrrratching?
