Sunday Rainbow Ballet

Hello, I'm Derin!
I'm currently in my graduation year at the Dutch National Ballet Academy, standing on the brink of realizing my dream of becoming a professional ballet dancer.

My love for dance started when I was just three years old, and it has guided me on an incredible journey—from my early years in Istanbul to living and studying in Amsterdam, a city I had always dreamed of calling home.

After completing primary school, I joined the conservatory at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul. In 2021, I was accepted into the Dutch National Ballet Academy and moved to Amsterdam to continue pursuing my passion.

As a child, I lived in a world of tutus, pointe shoes, fairies, and music. Dancing allowed me to express myself, embody characters, and embark on creative journeys. Over time, I discovered that discipline, dedication, hard work, and patience are just as essential to this art form as imagination and joy.

While much has changed as I've grown, my love for dance has remained unwavering. Through this workshop, my goal is to inspire children to explore the joy and creativity that dance can bring—opening doors to a world full of magic and endless possibilities.
