Kids Art School

The Children’s Art Academy is for children aged 8 to 12 who enjoy exploring and making. You don’t need to know how to do anything beforehand. Being curious and wanting to try things out is enough.

At the Children’s Art Academy, you will look, explore, experiment and make. You will draw, paint, build, take photographs, make sounds and work with all kinds of materials. Together, we ask questions about the things we encounter around us. We make art with what we discover. We look at each other’s work, share ideas and help each other move forward. Sometimes we work together on one artwork, and sometimes everyone makes something in their own way. We learn from each other and discover new ways of looking, thinking and making.

In the coming period, we will explore what sound looks like. We will listen indoors and outdoors, collect sounds and experiment with ways to draw, build, photograph or otherwise make them visible. Along the way, new questions and ideas will emerge for us to explore further.
