Track & Beat making at DGAI Music School
DGAI Music School is an institute for music education, organization and presentation with a focus on the urban cultures. In the context of talent development, identity, citizenship and heritage, DGAI Music School provides music education both in and out of school.
DGAI Music School teaches piano, guitar, violin, drums, vocals and track and beat making. The aim of DGAI Music School is to make extracurricular music education accessible to all Amsterdam children.
DGAI Music School teaches music at various locations in Amsterdam Southeast, often within walking distance for students. The classes, private as well as in group format, are taught by professional musicians
- BLOCK 1: Basic knowledge of music production, discover your identity and style and what suits you best! And, most importantly, get to know the equipment. Next to that we start working on basic production skills such as sampling and composing, so you can get started on producing your own tracks and beats!
- BLOCK 2: Learn how to tell your own story, create beats that have your own sound and write your own music. We explore how to perform, how to cooperate with other disciplines of music. Lastly, we start thinking about a final presentation.
- BLOCK 3: Repeat the first and second block and work on final presentation in collaboration with the other disciplines (such as making tracks for rappers or singers).
What is unique about our music school is the focus on urban cultures, such as hip-hop, and that we teach children in the neighborhood in an accessible way.
Every year we organize a concert with final presentations for family and friends!
